ULFA (I) rebel held

Dibrugarh, May 22: The 9th Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles under Dao Division apprehended a supposedly hardcore ULFA (I) cadre from Chabua on May 21 after launching an operation. The accused has been identified as Ganesh Gogoi alias Ajoy Gogoi, aged 35 years, and a resident of Chabua. Gogoi was found with a .22mm pistol and magazine. The accused was handed over to the Chabua Police Station after preliminary investigation and medical check-up. An FIR was also lodged to that effect.
