UNC demands peace talks

IMPHAL, April 16: A massive public peace rally was held on Tuesday at Noney market demandidng early solution to the Indo-ga problem. The rally was organized by Longmai Area Peace Committee, Tamenglong District under the aegis of United ga Council (UNC). The rally started from Noney market Bridge point passed through the gate of 8th Assam Rifles and culmited at Noney market bridge point where a public meeting was held. Gaidon Kamei, President, UNC addressed the gathering. A memorandum demanding conclusion of the onging talks was also submitted to the prime minister. The processionists displayed placards and banners demanding the early conclusion of the talks. People from all walks of life had participated in the procession and public meeting.
