Unidentified insect bite causes skin problems

JOYSAGAR, April 25: A peculiar kind of insect, having yellow and black wings and sharp biting cells, has been giving people of Dikhowmukh, Dicial, Raghubari, Bharalua and Gaurisagar area a tough time. Following the bites received from the unidentified insect, many villagers allegedly suffered from fever, fungal infection and also skin diseases. A team of researchers from Indian Biological and Scientific Research Centre, Dibrugarh reached the area on Monday to examine the insect and the team is also examining the villagers who suffered from the bites of insect, said sources.
