Union minister's effigy burnt

OUR STAFF CORRESPONDENT

SHILLONG, April 8: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress members led by President Richard Marak burnt an effigy of union minister Giriraj Singh in front of the BJP office at Tura. The burning of the effigy was done in protest against the racist remarks of the union minister against Sonia Gandhi.

The image of India as a secular tion has been tarnished because such racist leaders are the representatives of the people. Giriraj Singh’s statement is not only racist but is also sexist, and should be considered as an attack against all the women of the country.

rendra Modi should take moral responsibility for the statements of Singh and dismiss him immediately from the government and he should be banned from parliament for life.
