Verification of documents for NRC update going on in Dhubri district: DC

DHUBRI, April 7: Dhubri Deputy Commissioner, Anta Lal Gyani informed that the verification of documents for NRC update was going on in full swing at the panchayat level in Dhubri district without any hassle. 
Gyani informed this while addressing a meeting of officials, representative of political parties and leading citizens of the district at his official Conference Hall on Friday. 
He said that a total of 3.65 lakh documents were being verified currently in the district at the panchayat level, adding that this verification of documents was extremely necessary to ascertain the mes of genuine Indian citizens. 
“This undoubtedly is causing trouble for the people but despite all this, people are extending all cooperation in NRC update works patiently,” Gyani admitted. He informed that work of verification of documents issued by Gaon Panchayat and verification of legacy data of family tree were being done simultaneously.
 While appealing to all the people  for cooperation in updating NRC works, Gyani informed that one should not worry even if the documents submitted were rejected, because he or she would get ample of opportunity in phase manner to submit the other relevant documents for inclusion of mes after the process of update was completed.
 The prominent people who took part in the deliberation  in the meeting were Additiol Deputy Commissioner Pallab Majumdar, Additiol Superintendent of Police Gunindra Deka, Dhubri District Information and Public Relation Officer Bikas Sarma and Circle Officer of South Salmara, AK Illias Ahmed.
