Vigilance raid in city

GUWAHATI, June 18: Sleuths of Vigilance and Anti-corruption of the Assam Police raided a godown at Chandmari in Guwahati and recovered a large number of sewing machines on Monday. The owner of the godown is contractor Pawan Kumar Agarwal, an accused in the Social Welfare Department scam. The Special Judge Court did ask Agarwal, who is on bail, to cooperate with the Vigilance and Anti-corruption in the investigation into the scam in the Social Welfare Department.
