Vijay Hazare Cricket tournament: Krishna Das shines in Goa’s victory

GUWAHATI, Sept 21: A superb spell from Krishna Das guided Goa to 42 runs victory over Railways in the Vijay Hazare Cricket tournament at Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru today. Chasing 318 runs to victory Railways were bowled out for 275 runs. Krishna, bowled 8.2 overs in the match, picked up 4 wickets for 50. Railway received first blow when Krishna, the paceer from Assam who had joined Goa as a professional cricketer this season, removed opener Karan Sharma (0). Later he picked up the wickets of AP Yadav, Ankit Yadav and Anureet Singh. Earlier Goa scored 317-5 in 50 overs. Opener Sumiran Amonkar (82) was the top scorer.
