Vijay Merchant U-16 Trophy: Nagaland beats Arunachal Pradesh

Kohima: Nagaland U-16 boys team beat Arunachal Pradesh by 187 runs to win its first three days Vijay Merchant trophy match at Mahabir Chilorai Stadium, Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon.

In the first innings, Nagaland was bowled out for 218. In the second innings, they scored 174 runs (declared) losing 4 wickets. Yugandhar scored 135 runs and 62 (n.o) in the first and second innings respectively.

Arunachal managed to score only 104 in the first innings while they were bowled out for mere 99 runs in the second innings.

The winning team will play Sikkim from October 27-29.
