Villagers beat up headmaster for 'molesting' school students

MARGHERITA, June 19: Tension prevailed on Sunday in Margherita after a Headmaster was allegedly beaten by an irate mob on charges of molesting students of Lekhajan LP School.According to sources, Kharka Bahadur Lama, Headmaster of Lekhajan LP School under Margherita Education Block from the past few days allegedly molested his school students of Class 4 and Class 5. The students alleged before media persons that the Headmaster used to touch them ippropriately. Today more than 500 irate villagers of the area organized a public meeting and Kharka Bahadur Lama confessed before the villagers and apologized for his act. The angry villagers beat him up. In the meantime Margherita Police went to the spot and took the Headmaster to Margherita Police Station.
