Voice India Kids-2 champion felicitated

MANGALDAI, June 25: In continuation of their initiative to encourage and inspire the meritorious students of Kalaigaon in Udalguri district since 2001, Kendukalai-a premier non-government organization of the district, this year offered felicitation to 34 meritorious students who secured distinction and star marks in the 2018 HSLC examination under SEBA. In the felicitation function organized at the crowded Kendukalai Bhavan on Sunday, two meritorious students from economically weak background were also offered financial support by Kendukalai.

Commanding Officer of Army Unit, Colonel Rahul Singh, taking part in the function as the chief guest, appealed to students to study hard to achieve their desired goal. He laid stress on building a strong moral character with the spirit of patriotism true to the sense so that the young generation of Assam could contribute a lot in building the nation. Executive Member of BTC, Jagadish Sarkar, while addressing the function as the guest of honour, appealed to the young generation to take a lead role in creating awareness against superstitious beliefs.

Kendukalai also felicitated Voice India Kids -2 champion Manashi Saharia- a worthy daughter of Kalaigaon – and wildlife and nature activist Naba Jyoti Barua for their immense contribution to the society.
