Volley Ball Tournament meet begins at Itanagar

ITANAGAR, July 22: Former Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) of Borum 1 and Advocate by profession Techi Tolu inaugurated the first ever Volley Ball tournament for man & women organized by All Bath, Chimpu, Gohpur, Loor Putung Nyokum Committee (ABCGLPNC) here at Government Secondary School, Chimpu on Sunday.

Techi Tolu while addressing the youths on the occasion called for a team work, discipline and respect while playing the game and same to apply in the real life. “We many times learn positive aspects of life by various sports, but tends to forget what good we learn,” he said.

Stressing on education he asked the students to be a good, sincere and dedicated student. Today the youths are involving on various professions and a job, which is very good sign to self employment, be it in sports, management, and entertainment, acting or writing our youths are everywhere.

He also in the meantime asked to expertise skill and work on horticulture, hydropower, agriculture, vegetation, medicinal plants and others. Our state from Twang to end of Longding is abundant of natural resources to be utilized, Tolu added.

Quoting the first Indian sprinter to win a Gold medal in a track event at the World Juniors Athletics Championship (WJAC) Hima Das- 18 Years from neighboring state Asssam, Tolu requested the players to set such example in the every field of sports for the state.

“Many children’s from the state has already bought laurels to state in sports like Taekwando, Karate and Boxing, he added.”

Our youth has the competence and gift do so, only the need is to be mushroomed in a well approach by the coach, family, friends, department and then the state government. He also advised the players and the people present to stay from drugs and harmful substances in the meantime too.
