A Walk-in-Interview will be held in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT),

Tezpur University, Napaam, Sonitpur, Assam - 784028 at 10 a.m. on 3 August, 2018 for two (02)

temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow / Project Fellow in the BIRAC-PACE research project

entitled “Development of snake venom toxins-targeted specific novel anti-venom” under Prof. A. K.

Mukherjee, Principal Investigator, Department of MBBT, Tezpur University, Assam.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow / Project Fellow ( Temporary positions).

Total Vacancies : 2

Educational Qualification: First Class M.Sc. / M. Tech. with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent

CGPA in aggregate in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology/ Zoology/ Life

Sciences. For JRF position M. Sc. candidate should have qualified CSIR-UGC NET and/or GATE.

However, suitable experienced M. Sc. candidate without NET/GATE may be recruited as a PF.

Desirable: Candidates having experience in bioinformatics analysis and/or protein chemistry will be

preferred.

Fellowship: For JRF: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per

month for M. Tech candidate or NET/GATE qualified M. Sc. candidate. For PF: suitable nonNET/GATE

candidate may be appointed at a monthly emolument of Rs 14,000 (Rupees fourteen

thousand) without post M. Sc. experience / Rs 16,000 (Rupees sixteen thousand) with 2 years post

M. Sc. experience as evidenced by publication(s) in peer-reviewed journals.

Duration: 18 months or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit

may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies

of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable),

certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination, any other testimonials and a copy of recent signed
