Wandalin Kongor's death could be a homicide: Police

Shillong, March 31: Pointers provided by the Delhi Police to their Meghalaya counterparts on the mysterious death of the Meghalaya based lady, Wandalin Kongor, is a case of homicide. The postmortem report is yet to received by the Delhi Police till Saturday, but communication between the Delhi Police and Ri-Bhoi district police gave an indication that it is ‘homicide and not suicide’.
Wandalin Kongor , a BPO employee was found dead (at a decomposed state) in her Munirka residence last week. She is a resident of Marngar, under Ri Bhoi district. Divulging about the the investigation being shared between Delhi police and Meghalya Police, Ri Bhoi Superentendent of Police Ramesh Singh told The Sentinel: “If the initial investigation is to be believe, it’s a clear case of murder.”
“She was locked inside her room and killed before the house owners felt the  foul sting emating from the room,” Singh stated, quoting the initial findings of  police from the Union Capital police, even as he added that a team led by a state sub-inspector is camping in New Delhi to assist the investigation process. 
Another sources said that Kongor rented the house by identifying another male as her brother. The police are on the job on who is the purported brother of the deceased, whose decomposed body has been buried.
On this aspect the SP said, “There are some leads but we will not disclosed or else it will hamper our investigation.”
