Wanted SULFA cadre arrested in Doomdoma

DIGBOI , March 15: Dreaded SULFA cadre identified as Dhan Borah alias Nilim Asom ( 27), son of Girin Borah of Borgorah  under Baghjan Police Station in Tinsukia district, was arrested by Doomdoma police from his residence at Kordoiguri during an operation carried out to this effect.

Pertaining to his gross involvement in several anti-social activities, the security forces  across the district had been chasing Borah and filly based on cases including case no 599/14 u/s 120b/121/121a/387IPC R/W Sec 10/13UA(P) ACT, case no 220/13 u/s 387IPC R/W 10/13UA(P)Act and case no 292/14 u/s 387IPC R/W Sec 10/13 UA(P)Act, all registered at Doomdoma Police Station, the accused was arrested.

According to a highly placed police official, even after his formal surrender and joining the mainstream in 2013, Borah continued committing various crimes, including  extortion and kidpping, besides maintaining relations and assisting  the outlawed ULFA organization in carrying out their perverted designs across the district.
