WASE destroys ganja, government staff arrested

Itanagar, May 7: One Debojit Baruah, a contingency staff at Veterinary Training Institute of State government, was arrested by police recently for his involvement in drug peddling.
The Women against Social Evils (WASE) team finding that he had cultivated ganja in government quarters and selling it to minors had lodged an FIR against him at the local police station, WASE GS Joya Tasung Moyong said.
Two minors buying ganja from Baruah were seen by WASE members that led to the surprise checking in the compound of his quarters that brought the fact to limelight, she said, adding he was arrested by police on receipt of the FIR.
