Why Chris Hemsworth Named His Daughter India - Here's The Emotional Story Behind

Actor Chris Hemsworth says India holds an exceptional spot in his and spouse Elsa Pataky's heart, which is the reason they named their daughter India Rose after the country. "My wife (Elsa Pataky) spent lots of her time in the beautiful country India and that was the place the name initially came from," Chris Hemsworth said in a recent interview with the media.

The Avenger: Endgame actor was in India in 2018, shooting for his upcoming Netflix thriller Dhaka in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. He said being on set made him feel like a rockstar. "I cherish the place and the people around here. Shooting there... There were thousands of individuals in the city consistently and I have never experienced that on set. It was kind of scary as it was exciting because there were so many people,” he said. Hemsworth had shared a few social media updates from his time in India.

"After each take when the director called 'cut', there was noisy cheer. We felt like a rock star in an arena. Yet, the glow and support we got while shooting there, no matter how disruptive we were to their daily lives, it was so great. Individuals were so positive. I have huge appreciation to that," he added. Besides India Rose, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have two more children named Sasha and Tristan.

Hemsworth repeated his role as the God of Thunder, Thor, in Avengers: Endgame. He has said he is open to returning as the character in future movies. The Australian on-screen actor will be seen next in Men in Black: International, which additionally stars his Thor: Ragnarok co-actor, Tessa Thompson. The film is directed by F Gary Gray, the turnoff to Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones' hit franchise will hit the screens on Friday.

Recently, the actor has said that he is open to working in a Bollywood film and he is ready to work with Priyanka Chopra. On being quizzed in the event that he might want to work in a Bollywood film, Chris Hemsworth told to the media in an interview, “Maybe. Definitely, why not? I’m not an excellent artist though.” And on being asked if he would like to work with Priyanka Chopra, the on-screen actor answered, “Yes, send me a script and we’ll find something out.”
