Woman allegedly killed by Husband in Samuguri under Nagaon District

Samuguri: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife by giving her poison at Bormabil area in Samuguri under Nagaon District.

As per local people, the person identified as Wahedula was engaged in a heated argument with his wife on Monday night which got intensified later. Local after came to know about the incident rushed to the spot and found the woman lying unconscious and accordingly informed the matter to the Muwamari Police Station.

It is also suspected by the local people that the prime accused in the murder incident to be the husband of the woman who is reported to be absconding from the spot after she died consuming the poison. However, the Muwamari police are waiting for the final reports of the post mortem and would start their investigation in connection to the matter.

Locals also claimed that the relation of the couple had got bitter over the past few years. "There were frequent quarrels between the couple ever since they married," said one of the locals.

Meanwhile, an FIR was lodged by the father of the deceased woman at Muwamari police station.

Further police investigations are on.
