Woman commits suicide by jumping in front of train

JAGIROAD, Dec 3: A 28-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping in front of an approaching train near Jagiroad Railway station here this evening.  Police said the woman jumped in front of the train at around 5.30 pm. She was later identified as Bobeeta  Dey. Initial investigation revealed that the woman, who had divorced with her husband few months back, had a three-year-old baby.   “The cause of suicide is yet to be known. We did not recover any suicide note from her possession,” police said. The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem. Locals said the domestic problem might compel her to take the extreme step.
