Woman dies of burn injuries

JOYSAGAR, March 26: A woman with burn injuries who was undergoing treatment in Joysagar Civil Hospital, died on Sunday. Ri Das, a resident of ward no.6, zira town of Sivasagar district, was admitted in Joysagar Civil Hospital with major burn injuries on Saturday night. She succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.

The family members of Ri alleged that her husband Rajesh Das, after a heated exchange of words, had poured kerosene over her and set her on fire.  They lodged an FIR in zira PS. Police booked the accused Rajesh on Sunday night, sources said.
