Woman drowns to death

JOYSAGAR, July 13: A woman died on Thursday after falling into a pond near her house. The incident took place in Safrai Borpothar gaon under Mathurapur PS of Sivasagar district. Later, police recovered her body and sent it for post mortem. The woman was identified as Geetanjali Das (28) and she had gone to take bath in the pond when she slipped into the water.
