Woman gives birth to triplets at Howraghat

HOWRAGHAT, Jan 17: A 32-year old woman, who has been identified as Bin Baglary, wife of Dipak Baglary of East Hatipura village under Howraghat police station, gave birth to triplets at Howraghat Community Health Centre (CHC) here on Tuesday. All the three babies are reported to be safe and healthy. The weight of the babies was 2 kg, 2.300 kg and 2.200 kg respectively. Two girls and one boy were born to the woman. According to the doctor’s report, mother and babies suffered no such surfactant deficiency disease or respiratory distress syndrome. Necessary medication has been given to them. The mother and babies are reported to be healthy and ready for discharge now, the doctor said.
