Woman killed at Baksa

TAMULPUR, Dec 29: Body of a 40-year-old pregnt woman was recovered today at Patkijuli under Darangamela police outpost in Baksa district. The victim has been identified as Juli Hemran, wife of one Mangal Soren. The woman went missing on December 25 and she remained clueless since then. Police today recovered her body, which was buried in sand bar of a river. It may be mentioned that on December 25, unidentified miscreants killed another woman identified as Lakhi Mardi (70) branding her as witch in the same village.  Local people said after committing the murder of Lakhi, miscreants taken away Juli covering her face with black cloth. Locals suspect the woman was killed by same culprit involved in the killing of the 70-year-old woman.
