As the DTO has been engaged in NRC duty and remains out of office for almost whole day without handing over charge to anybody, the aggrieved public, after waiting for several hours, have to return home frustrated. They reportedly even abuse lower staff of the office. A team of media persons, on receipt of complaints, met the Deputy Commissioner Oinam Saran Singh on Tuesday to sort out the problems faced by the public and requested him to assign an official in the absence of the DTO.
