'Work sincerely for uplift of sports'

Itagar, July 29: Parliamentary Secretary for sports and youth affairs (S&YA) Nyamar Karbak has called upon the officers of the department to work sincerely and dedicatedly so as to make the department more reliable in terms of promoting games and sports in the State. Karbak was addressing a meeting on Friday which was called to discuss the calendar events of the S&YA department sanctioned under State Annual Development Agenda (SADA)-2017-18 at his office here.
He further proposed to take up some activities to be taken up with government level for early approval which included, creation of two more Sports School which would established at Eastern and Western parts of the State along the line of Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA), creation of an open air gymsium in districts and to conduct youth carnival along the line of tiol Youth Festival. While stating that chief minister Pema Khandu is giving special impetus on promoting sports and youth activities in the State, Karbak added that only thing the department needs in today’s date was collective views and exchange of one’s experiences and knowledge on how to promote the same. “Our collective and concentrated efforts may help a youth shine in the intertiol and tiol area as Aruchal has no dearth of talents,” said Karbak. Construction of a youth centre at Itagar and other districts of the State were also discussed during the meeting. Sports and Youth Affairs secretary, Dani Salu, also shared his ideas during the meet and urged the officer to work tirelessly for overall growth of the department.
