Workers appealed to avail benefits under APB & OCWWB

ITAGAR, June 23: More than 200 workers attended the awareness camp cum welfare kits distribution organized by the Aruchal Pradesh Building & Other Constructions Workers Welfare Board at Likabali in West Siang district on Monday.

Iugurating the camp, parliamentary secretary transport and also local MLA Jomde Ke appreciated Board’s chairman Nyamar Karbak and stressed on registration with the Board to avail maximum benefits being provided.

He also suggested conduction of such awareness camps in remote places of the state to reach to every worker. Speaking as the guest of honour chairman APB & OCWWB Nyamar Karbak said that the board since its inception in 2007 has been doing its best to provide maximum benefits to its registered workers.

He further informed that benefits like medical assistance, tools advance, maternity assistance, housing loans, death benefits, funeral assistance, free distribution of school bags, geometry box, umbrella, mosquito, education assistance for higher studies in technical/professiol courses, old age pension for person above 60 years, scholarships to children of registered workers are some of the benefits provided by the Board to its registered workers.

The registering officer of the Board informed about the procedure of registration and documents required. SDO T Bage, secretary general INTUC Kenkar Yomcha and other panchayat leaders also spoke on the occasion.
