Cultural Workshop on Folk Music held in Doomdooma , Assam

Doomdooma, July 20: Under the auspices of Shankari Kala-Kristi Vikash Mancha, a six-day long workshop on folk song was organised in the premises of Doomdooma Namghar from July 13 to July 18. The students were given training by noted artist and music teacher of Tinsukia Lipika Saikia Baruah. In the concluding function, the students presented various folksongs in presence of guardians and music-lovers and were awarded certificates. The programme was anchored by the adviser of the Mancha and president of Doomdooma Namghar Samity Dharma Kanta Gogoi and was addressed by journalist Dhiren Deka.
