Workshop on poetry held at Doomdooma, Assam

Doomdooma, July 20: Under the auspices of Tinsukia Zila Kabi Sanmilan and with active cooperation of Sundaram Kabi Sanmilan, a workshop on poetry titled Kabyajigyasha of Sadou Axom Kabi Sanmilan was organised at Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha Bhaban recently. Dipti Thakur Goswami presided over the meeting while Dr Aruna Gogoi Baruah inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Rana Changmai, Associate Professor, Tinsukia College and Mridul Dahotia of Ledo College attended the function as resource persons and dwelt on poetry to apprise the audience about its various finer aspects. A poem recitation programme was also held under the presidentship of Dipen Kumar Bora, secretary, Tinisukia Zila Sahitya Sabha where altogether 40 participants recited their self-composed poems.
