Workshop on solar energy

Dibrugarh, June 29: District Administration, in association with One India, inaugurated a 4-day workshop on harnessing of solar energy on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, DC Laya Madduri said that the workshop is aimed at capacity building of the unemployed youth, especially of the tea garden regions, and helping such people find a sustainable and environment-friendly source of income. The trainees would learn about the manufacturing of certain products that run on solar power. They would also be provided with marketing assistance, in order to sell their manufactured products, at a later stage.
