Workshop on two-years of NDA government held

Shillong, June 17: Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), Shillong organized a regiol workshop on two years achievements of the Indian government at PCI Conference Hall, Lower Lachumiere today.

Speaking on the occasion, T Hynniewta, Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Shillong said, “Such programmes organized by DFP will help to reach out to the people and educating them about central government schemes.”

He further emphasized on information based life.

“And if we fail to adapt to the changes and innovate ourselves, we may be left behind,” he added.

He further stressed that we need to be very sensitive and maintain a balanced approach while reaching out to the people at the grass root level in order to link effectively.

In his speech, Ratul Baruah, Editor Meghalaya Guardian, said that the country has no dearth of schemes, but the implementation has always remained a challenge.

He said that extending the schemes of the government to the public is a two way process which basically means both the government and public has to come together. He emphasized that the Field Publicity Officers have an immense role to play in creating awareness about the various central govt. schemes at the grass root level.

In his speech, Dr. Engam Pame, Regiol Director, DFP, Shillong, said that the Directorate of Field Publicity, basically engaged in interpersol communication with the common man at the grassroot level.

The main objective of the workshop, he said, is to educate and equip the field functiories of DFP about various Government schemes and the achievements of the Govt. of India within the last two years.
