Workshop on wildlife and forest laws

Tezpur, June 28: In a move to bring transparency and speedy disposal of the pending cases under Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and forest offences under the Acts on priority basis, Tezpur Court has taken an appropriate action plan to organize a workshop on July 2 in the premises of the Lok Adalat Hall of the office of the District Legal Service Authority, Tezpur under the aegis of Assam Judicial Service Association, Sonitpur District Unit, in association with District Legal Service Authority, Tezpur and Department of Forest, Sonitpur to discuss various problems faced during investigation by the police and forest officials and findings ways and means for speedy disposal and upholding quality judgment , official sources said.
