Workshop on youth leadership and community development iugurated

DOOMDOOMA, Oct 29: Under the auspices of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Tinsukia and with active cooperation of Triyan Youth Club, Rupaisiding,  a three-day long workshop on  ‘Training on Youth Leadership and Community Development (TYLCDP)’ was iugurated at Mankhowa Gaon Panchayat (GP) community hall on Friday.

About 40 youths from four development blocks under Tinsukia district, mely Sadiya, Saikhowa, Hapjan and Kakapather participated in the workshop. The youths will be imparted training on economic and social development, on upgrading the rural welfare schemes meant for the  rural youths and the rural people, and on determining the objective of translating the government schemes into reality by including all of them in the Prime Minister’s flagship schemes.

Khitish Kakati, retired Block Development Officer (BDO), who is also one of the resource persons of the workshop, presided over the iugural function. The coorditor of the NYK, Tinsukia, Kamalapati Saikia  explained the objective of the meeting in the beginning.
