World Day against Child Labour observed

GAON (HAIBORGAON), June 12: In association with gaon District Legal Service Authority, a group of pioneer voluntary organizations led by North Eastern Development Council for Human Resource (NEDCHR) and Sadou Axom Gramya Puthibharal Sangstha, together observed the World Day against Child Labour with a day-long programme.

The voluntary organizations launched a cleanliness drive in their own offices premises and planted various saplings in their office campuses. In the second half of the day, the organizations organized a semir on the legal issues of anti-child labour in which first class magistrate Hemanta Das, senior actor Jyda Bora and Premeswar Das (PD of NDCLPS) graced the occasion and also delivered lectures on the issues and focused on the legal sides of child labour protection in the society. The semir was presided over by the president of Sadou Axom Gramya Puthibharal Sangstha, Mokul Hazarika and anchored by Dr. Jayanta Prashad Sarma and Balladeva Sarma.
