Wrongly charged in abduction case, claims woman

SHILLONG, May 4: One Rosita Lyngdoh Nongbri today said that she was wrongly framed in a kidpping case. According to her, the persons who had filed an FIR accusing her of abduction had taken loan from her to the tune of Rs 4.40 lakh. Nongbri accused Babikor Nongrum , also known as Babita , Jeny Malngiang and Elizabeth Rynjah for failing to repay the money lend by Nongbri to them as a loan. Nongbri has also claimed that had she lend a sum of Rs 80, 000 to Elizabeth on the request of Babita.

She also said that these people used to take money from every people but failed to pay them back and after she came to know that these people are fraud she called them so that the money lend to them can be put in writing.

“How can they say I kidpped her when she used to come to my house every now and then?”  Nongbri said adding that that day they had tea together and then Nongbri went somewhere else while Elizabeth went to her house and sat with her daughters and later left the house saying that her aunty was seriously ill and hospitalised. “The next day we saw in the paper that we had been accused of kidpping which is not at all true” Nongbri said.
