Wushu, Volleyball Championships conclude at Boko

Boko, April 8: The 11th Kamrup (R) District Wushu Championship along with volleyball championships concluded at Boko. In the Wushu championship, Boko Wushu Academy performed best in all the categories. This team was selected for Assam State Wushu Championship. Selected players for the State championship are in boys (sub junior), Bikash Rabha (24kg), Kartik Rabha (28kg), Pulakjyoti Rabha (32kg), Raghuth Boro (36kg) Prabal Rabha (40kg), Arup Rabha (44kg), Sunda Rabha (48kg), Rupkumar Rabha (52kg), Boys in Junior categories are Suman Chetry (45kg), Bitupan Boro (48kg), Mahidhar Rabha (52kg), Dipjyoti Rabha (56kg), Rahul Das (60kg) and Ankur Das (65kg). Boys in senior categories are Pray Rabha (48kg), Ramen Boro (52kg), Bikash Das (56kg), Raju Rabha (70kg) Jugal Das (75kg), Krish Sharma (85kg). Selected girls in Sub Junior categories are Ji Hussain (28kg), Ti Rabha (32kg), Sweety W. Marak (36kg), Puja Kaibarta (40kg), Barasha Das (44kg) and in Junior categories Janmoni Boro (45kg), Ambika Rabha (52 kg) and Padmini Rabha (65kg).

On the other hand total eight team participated in the Prize Money Volleyball Competition. Boko-Borgaon Anchalik ABSU volleyball team won the champions title with prize money of Rs. 7000 while runners up Luki Bekeli Anchalik ABSU team got Rs. 5000.

Both competitions are collaborated with Silver Jubilee celebration and 12th Biennial Conference of All Bodo Students’ Union, South Kamrup district, which is starts from Friday, 6 April, 2018 to Sunday, 8th April, 2018 at Boko field.
