Xahitya Xabha holds meeting to discuss centery celebrations

DIBRUGARH May, 13: A meeting of Axom Sahitya Sabha, was recently held here at Sanghati Bhawan of Dibrugarh Xahitya Sabha for discussion on the centery celebrations of Axom Xahitya Sabha, scheduled to be organised at Sibsagar from Feb 1 to Feb 4 2017.

In the meeting a Reception Committee was formed, which was attended by Sibsagar District Xahitya Sabha, President, Dr Anil Saikia, Secretary of welcome committee Jog Gogoi, Assistant Secretary of Reception committee Swarjyoti Borua Borbora and Manoj Saikia. In the meeting, decision was taken on the formation of a coordition committee. The meeting chaired by working president of the welcome committee, Dr. Anil Saikia was attended by a large number of representatives of Sabha’s branch offices. Later, Jug Gogoi and Swarjyoti Borua, in their respective speeches talked on the role of the coordition committees. The coordition committee was later formed with Durlabh Chetia as President, Dr Bharati Dutta as Working President, Cheban Prasad Sharma, Ranja Sarmah Bordoloi, Prasenjit Kumar Goswami, Doly Das, Sandhyarani Dutta Bhuyan, Khagendra th Chetia Phukan, Aradha Dutta, Rajkumari Gogoi, Madan Konwar, Dr Malarani Devi Dutta as Vice - presidents, Indra Gogoi as Secretary, Anil Singh, Ajit Gogoi, Niranjan Borua, Anjumoni Phulkonwar, Kalyani Borua, Sada Borua, Tunumoni Borua as assistant secretaries.
