Yoga centre  iugurated

LAKHIMPUR, Jan 2: As a part of 100 Yoga centres proposed to be established in 100 development blocks across the State under Assam Yoga Project Phase-1 under the aegis of Directorate of AYUSH, a yoga centre was iugurated at Bihpuriaya Jajati Bikash Kendra on Tuesday by Debanda Hajarika, the MLA of Bihpuriya Legislative Assembly Constituency. The programme, which was organized on this occasion, was chaired by Dr. Harpal Singh Suri, the Joint Director of Lakhimpur District Health Services. Dr. Sashi Sonowal, District Nodal Officer of AYUSH, explained the objectives of the programme which was anchored by Phanindra Das. MLA Debada Hazarika, in his speech, highlighted how the present State Government had taken up significant policies and endeavoured to take the benefits of yoga to the grassroots. Yoga instructor of Institute of Yoga and Nutritiol Science explained the benefits of yoga in the programme.
