Yoga Satra Held At West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: The Aalo branch of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh organized a eight-day-long yoga camp at Pessing Gangging recently. The yoga classes were organized by a team consisting of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) yoga teacher Yebom Digbak, Kajal, Kenbom Kamduk and Vikrant Kumar.

The yoga satra laid focus on breathing practice, loosening exercise, Surya-namaskar, asana and pranayama as well as theory of understanding yoga based on dharma and eight limbed practice of yoga, an official release informed here on Monday. Inaugurating the satra, Pessing Government Higher Secondary School principal said that yoga is the most effective science and methodology to manifest the divinity in man and to channelize it for national reconstruction.

“Yoga is the core of Vivekananda Kendra,” he said and exhorted all to take part in the training made available to people free of cost, the release added.
