Young businessman commits suicide

KOKRAJHAR, Aug 30: A young businessman of Kokrajhar, Himangshu Chandra Deb (35) allegedly committed suicide in a hotel in the heart of Kokrajhar town on Monday night. He hailed from Rabindra gar of Kokrajhar town. Hotel sources said Deb booked a room on August 28 for the night and stayed at Room No. 102. They said the door of his room was closed from inside and there was no response despite knocks. The police was informed and later he was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside the room at around 10 am on Tuesday. Police sent the body for post mortem. Himangshu had a grocery shop in the heart of Kokrajhar town. He got married only in November, 2016 and had no children. Local people suspected that he was in depression.
