Youth arrested from SMCH

 SILCHAR, Feb 6: A young boy identified as Sumon Aziz Laskar who was found attending a class without any authority or permission in Silchar Medical College and Hospital today was taken into police custody.   From the ID card recovered from his possession, it was revealed that he came from Kachudaram part IV village under Lakhipur police station in Cachar, 35 km from here. A team of policemen from the nearest Ghungoor police outpost took him to Lakhipur police station for further interrogation and to know all about his antecedents.

 Principal of Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Shilpi Barman, said, “The boy was found attending the 4th semester class of the MBBS course in the morning shift. The ID card issued in the me of the college was found to be fake with several discrepancies.” After the students complained about his presence, the police was informed which immediately took him into custody, she said.

 No incrimiting documents or any explosive materials were found in his possession. After medical examition in civil hospital, he was driven to Lakhipur police station. The ID card mentions the me of his father as Abdul Noor Laskar. There are several spelling mistakes. It is not clear why Sumon Aziz Laskar was attending the class and what his real intention was. The police refused to disclose anything to the media-persons and advised them to wait till he was thoroughly interrogated, first at Lakhipur police station and then at Silchar.
