Youth arrested with pistol

MANGALDAI, Dec 15: A team of Mangaldai Police led by Officer in-charge Inspector Lohit Chandra Rabha, assisted by troops of 168 Field Regiment, on Thursday morning arrested a youth med Nikunja Sarma of Shankar gar and recovered a factory-made pistol of .32 caliber from his possession. Reportedly, the accused is a mechanic of cellular phones by profession and he was arrested at Begamukh near Kharupetia bus stand while trying to sell the fire arm to an army personnel in the guise of a buyer. The police suspect his involvement in a number of crimil activities .
