Bokajan, August 10: With Independence day drawing close and possible threats looming around every corner, a joint team of Khatkhati Police and security forces carried out a raid in the Pacca Field area of Lahorijan - the Assam galand inter-State border following a tip-off about the movement of some arms smugglers in the area. Accordingly, the team conducted a search operation and apprehended a youth mely Md. Dildar Hussain (22) of Pura Bazaar, Dimapur and successfully recovered a .32 pistol with hree live ammunition from his possession.
