Youth Congress workers burn Modi's effigy

Silchar, Nov 7: Effigies of the Prime Minister rendra Modi are being burnt throughout since the day of Rahul Gandhi’s, vice president, All India Congress Committee, detention while he was going to meet the bereaved family of Ramkishan Grewal who had recently committed suicide over the ‘one rank, one pension’ issue. Javed Miandad, president Cachar District Majdoor Yuva Congress and members of INTUC, burnt an effigy of the Prime Minister for detaining Rahul near Khudiram Statue at Park road of this town, today.

 They severely condemned this act and criticized the Government’s dictatorial way of working in this matter. The members tool out a protest rally, gave slogans against the Government’s autocratic ways of workings. It should be mentioned here that Rahul Gandhi was on his way to meet the bereaved family at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, he was illegally detained for 3 hours by Delhi police under the direction of the Union Government.
