Youth dies in Tezpur Army rally

TAMALPUR, Feb 2: A youth died in Tezpur on Thursday when he appeared in a physical test in the Army recruitment rally. The youth has been identified as Swrang Basumatary (19), son of Bhadreswar Basumatary and Anima Basumatary of village Ghilajhar under Tamulpur subdivision in the district of Baksa. Swrang Basumatary was a student of grijuli Junior College and was studying in Class XII. He went to Tezpur on Wednesday to appear in a physical test as he desired to join the Indian Army. While he was running during the physical test on Thursday morning, he suddenly fell on the ground and died. Tezpur police recovered the body of the deceased youth and arranged for postmortem. After postmortem the body was sent to grijuli police outpost and later police handed over the body to the family members. Swran was a good football player of Ghilajhar Star Eleven Club. Star Eleven Club of Ghilajhar, grijuli Primary ABSU, grijuli Junior College and Zkhatarbari High School have mourned his demise.
