Youth elopes with minor girl in Margherita, bbed

MARGHERITA, May 7: Margherita Sub Divisiol Police Officer Imuddin Ahmed, Margherita Police Station Officer in-Charge Debojit Mahanta, Ledo Village Defense Party and Ledo Police Outpost in-charge Pratap Gogoi were recently able to b a youth who tried to elope with a girl. According to Margherita Police sources, a 15-year old minor girl of Chibasti, Ledo, allegedly fell in love with Islam Hussain, son of Sabir Hussain, resident of Jharbasti, Ledo. The youth allegedly tried to elope with the girl, promising to marry her. But on May 5, Islam Hussain and the girl were caught at Maulang gaon, Ledo by the police team. A case has been registered at Margherita Police Station case Number 105/16 US 366(A) IPC. Margherita Police Station officer in-Charge Debojit Mahanta said, “We will put in all our efforts to control crime and we appeal to the people to cooperate with Margherita Police in maintaining peace.”
