Youths' Council members visit Rangshken PHC

SHILLONG, May 18: The Hynniewtrep Youths’ Council (HYC) Rangshken Unit visited the health center at Rangshken which was left unoccupied since 2012 even after its construction. The group was led by president of Rangshken unit, Rocky Ja and accompanied by HYC Mawphlang Circle general secretary, Barikupar Pataw. The organisation in a press statement said that the people of the village have been looking forward to the health center for the past 4 years. It is learnt that the villagers of Rangshken have to travel up to Mawphlang PHC or even till Shillong for medical treatment. The organisation alleged, “The construction of the health center has benefited the contractors only. In this connection the organisation urged the office of the DM&HO and local MLA HDR Lyngdoh to look into the situation and take up necessary steps for the benefit of the poor and needy.
