Youths take part in the 'ture Walk'

SHILLONG, Oct 7: Around 275 students from various school and colleges in the State on Wednesday participated in a ‘ture Walk’ organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs of Meghalaya during the 2nd edition of Meghalaya youth exchange programme.

The youths started their ‘ture Walk’ from Mawlai Museum and proceeded towards Golf link, Wards Lake and later culmited at the Catholic Cathedral Shillong situated between Dhankheti and Laitumkhrah. “The objective of this ‘ture Walk’ is to show the youths who have participated from different Districts the beauty of Shillong and the various other tourist spots,” One of the physical instructor said.

She informed that the youths who have participated in the programme are from 11 Districts in the state and from each District 25 youths are selected through the Meghalaya Youth exchange program.

The eight days programme which commenced on October 1 will conclude on Thursday at Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarter, Shillong.
