Itanagar: A two day National Symposium namely 'Gyan Sangam' to be held on Arunachal: Know to Unknown at the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh's Itanagar from November 24 to 25, 2018.

The National Symposium is held under Art of Living, Jollang of Itanagar and organized by Intellectual Forum of Northeast.

The main objective for carrying out this National Symposium in the state is to know Arunachal Pradesh from indigenous perspective and to develop intellectual knowledge which will be adequate enough to create indigenous narratives through discussions in the disciplines through 'Language and Literature', 'World View and Cosmology', Culture, Social System and Ethics, Figures of Historical Importance, Women, Indic Culture, Story of Struggles and Science and Technology.

The two-day programme would also highlight the areas of the land of Arunachal which have not drawn much attention from the scholars, researchers and intellectuals.

Furthermore, the organizers also claimed that the event would also generate an emic understanding in terms of ethno narratives, of various aspects of Tribal Life.

Talking about the symposium, the organisers in their brochures also stated that 'Gyan Sangam' tries to fill up the void created by few intellectual traditions based on Western Course. It makes an attempt to depict the inherent oneness of the people in spite of practising different customs, way of life, practices and rituals.
