ITANAGAR: At least 48 people sustained minor injuries and few are stated to be in critical condition after a semi-metallic hanging bridge turned upside down on Saturday afternoon at Namorah under Dissing Paso circle, Pakke kessang district.

According to police sources, the bridge turned upside down due to overflooding of people who come from Assam for picnics. An eyewitness said a picnic party reportedly coming from Biswanath Chariali, Assam, were taking selfies on the bridge when the mishap occurred.
