52nd Dree Football Championship Begins In Lower Subansiri District, Arunachal

Itanagar: The 52nd Dree Football Championship and 3rd Edition of Central Dree Women Football Championship were kicked off on Sunday at Dani Kunia Govt Higher Secondary School Ziro in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh by SBI chief manager Pravin Hazurway.

The inaugural program started with lighting of the Central Dree tournament torch by Mihin Pulo, the best player of 2018, an official communiqué informed.

Two minutes condolence and homage was also paid to Khoda Ruja,Former President of Tanw Supun Dukun and also to football players of Apatani Plateau Pura Koyang, Tage Radhe and Tasso Byai.

Altogether nine men teams and five women teams are participating in the tournament.

The first match was played between defending champions Sojang Lapang Sports Club and Diibo Sports Club. In a griping 70 minutes game (time reduced owing to disciplinary measures) the defending champion defeated Diibo Sports Club by two goals to nil, the communiqué added.
