ITANAGAR: For the fifth consecutive day, COVID-19 recoveries in Arunachal Pradesh surpassed fresh cases with 71 more patients being cured of the disease during the last 24 hours, said State Surveillance Officer DrLobsangJampa.

The State registered 41 new Coronavirus cases, pushing the tally to 15,945. Meanwhile, 14,715 patients have been discharged from hospitals, pushing the recovery rate to 92.28 per cent. The death ratio stands at 0.30 per cent. Arunachal Pradesh now has 1,182 active cases with positivity rate at 7.72 per cent. Altogether 48 people have succumbed to the virus across the State.

Of the 41 new COVID-19 cases, 13 were reported from West Kameng; seven from the Capital Complex region; six from East Siang; five from LepaRada; three from Changlang; two from Lower Dibang Valley; and one each from Tawang, Lohit, Shi-Yomi, PakkeKessang and Upper Siang districts. The State has tested 3,46,532 samples.
